LumiraDx Platform Lomitusi Taiala mo Tagata

The LumiraDx Printer can be used to print a Patient or Quality Control (QC) test result onto adhesive paper.
Patient and QC test results can be printed from the Instrument result page following a test, or from the test details page in the Instrument Result History.

Setting up the LumiraDx Printer

The Printer comes with a roll of adhesive paper already installed.

Turn the Printer over to see the underside.
Remove the sticker over the battery compartment.

Insert the supplied rechargeable batteries into the Printer paying attention to the ‘+’ and ‘-‘, then replace the cover.

Fully charge the batteries for 16 hours before first use by connecting the Printer to a power source.
Insert the USB connector into one of the USB ports at the rear of the Instrument and press the Printer power button.

If there are already batteries in the Printer, remove the batteries and insert 4 fully-charged batteries paying attention to the ‘+’ and ‘-‘. If the batteries are not fully charged, charge for 16 hours before use. Only use 1.2V NiMH AA rechargeable batteries in the Printer.

Replacing the adhesive paper

Pull the clear central lever on the clear paper cover upwards and forwards until it is release from its locked position. To avoid damage do not use excessive force.
Remove the spool and any remaining adhesive paper. Place a new adhesive paper roll into the paper reservoir, holding approx. 2 inches of the paper outside of the Printer. Ensure the new paper is feeding from the bottom of the roll. Close the cover by applying equal amounts of pressure on each side of the cover until the lid is in the locked position.
Now tear the surplus paper across the serrated edge.

Take care when transporting to prevent damaging the Printer and batteries.
Keep away from fire and heating sources.
Avoid batteries contacting with oxidizers and acid.
Do not expose the batteries to excessive physical shock or vibration.
