Proper installation is crucial for your child's safety. The Mico Pro Infant Car Seat offers two primary installation methods: using the stay-in-car base with the 1-click LATCH system or using the vehicle's seat belt for 'taxi mode' without the base.

3.1 Installing the Stay-in-Car Base (LATCH System)

1. Place the base on the vehicle seat in the rear-facing position.
2. Locate your vehicle's lower anchor bars.
3. Extend the LATCH connectors from the car seat base and attach them to the vehicle's lower anchor bars until you hear a click.
4. Press down firmly on the base and tighten the LATCH strap until the base is secure and does not move more than one inch side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.
5. Adjust the recline position of the base to ensure the level indicator is within the acceptable range for your infant's weight.

3.2 Installing without the Base (Taxi Mode)

For installations without the base, use the vehicle's seat belt. Large, visible belt guides on the car seat indicate the correct path for the seat belt to ensure a secure fit.

1. Place the car seat rear-facing on the vehicle seat.
2. Route the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt through the designated belt guides on the car seat.
3. Buckle the vehicle's seat belt and remove all slack, ensuring the car seat is tightly secured.

3.3 Attaching/Detaching the Car Seat from the Base or Stroller

The Mico Pro features a 1-hand release mechanism for easy attachment and detachment from its base or compatible Maxi-Cosi strollers.

• To attach: Align the car seat with the base or stroller adapters and press down firmly until it clicks into place. Verify it is securely attached by pulling upwards on the car seat.
• To detach: Squeeze the release handle located at the back of the car seat and lift the car seat upwards.

4. Operating the Car Seat

4.1 Securing Your Child

5.2 Shell and Harness Cleaning

Wipe the car seat shell and harness straps with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not submerge the harness straps in water, as this can weaken the webbing.
