Familiarize yourself with the components of your SHARP XL-B512 system.

Main Unit Controls and Ports:
- Ki Malosi: Ki'i pe tape le iunite.
- Kipo leo: Fetuuna'i le maualuga maualuga leo.
- Fa'aaliga: Shows current mode, track information, and time.
- CD Fata: Mo le fa'aopoopoina o CD leo.
- Taulaga USB: For connecting USB storage devices for MP3 playback.
- Ulufale AUX: 3.5mm jack mo le faʻafesoʻotaʻi masini leo fafo.
- Fa'amau Fa'atino: Play/Pause, Stop, Skip/Search, Mode selection.
5. Seti
Follow these steps for initial setup of your micro component system:
- So'oga Fofoga Fetalai: Connect the speaker wires from each speaker to the corresponding speaker terminals on the rear of the main unit. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -).
- FM Antenna Connection: If included, connect the FM antenna to the FM antenna jack on the rear of the main unit for improved radio reception. Extend the antenna fully for best results.
- So'oga Malosi: Plug the power cord into the AC IN socket on the rear of the main unit, then plug the other end into a standard AC wall outlet (120V ~ 60Hz).
- Tu'uga: Place the main unit and speakers on a stable, flat surface. For optimal stereo sound, position the speakers equidistant from the listening area and spaced apart.
6. Fa'atonuga o Galuega
6.1. Malosi / Malosi

6.2. Fa'agaioiga o le CD Player
- Oomi le TULAGA/GALUEGA button to select 'CD' mode.
- Oomi le TATAU/TATAU faamau e tatala ai le fata CD.
- Place a CD (audio CD, MP3 CD, CD-R, CD-RW) with the label side up into the tray.
- Oomi le TATAU/TATAU button again to close the tray. The unit will begin reading the disc.
- Tusitala TALO/TOTO to start or pause playback.
- Fa'aoga FA'AVAE/SILI faamau e faatautaia ai ala.
6.3. Bluetooth Streaming
- Oomi le TULAGA/GALUEGA button to select 'Bluetooth' mode. The display will show 'BT' and flash, indicating it's ready for pairing.
- I luga o lau masini e mafai ai le Bluetooth (smartphone, tablet, ma isi), fa'agaoioi le Bluetooth ma saili mo masini avanoa.
- Select 'SHARP XL-B512' from the list. Once paired, the 'BT' indicator will stop flashing.
- You can now play audio from your device through the XL-B512 system. Use your device or the system's controls for playback.
6.4. USB Playback

- Oomi le TULAGA/GALUEGA button to select 'USB' mode.
- The unit will automatically begin playing the first compatible audio file.

6.5. FM Radio Tuning
- Oomi le TULAGA/GALUEGA button to select 'FM' mode.
- Oomi ma uu le FA'AVAE/SILI buttons to automatically scan for the next available station.
- Press briefly to manually tune step-by-step.
- Ina ia faasaoina se nofoaga, oomi le Faʻailo / MEM button, use FA'AVAE/SILI to select a preset number, then press Faʻailo / MEM toe fa'amaonia.
6.6. Auxiliary Input (AUX)
- Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone) to the AUX IN jack on the front panel using a 3.5mm audio cable (not supplied).
- Oomi le TULAGA/GALUEGA button to select 'AUX' mode.
- Play audio from your connected device. The sound will be output through the XL-B512 speakers.
6.7. Fa'aoga mamao
The included remote control provides full functionality for your system.

Ensure the remote control is pointed directly at the main unit's sensor. Insert two AAA batteries (not included) into the remote control, observing correct polarity.
6.8. Sound Adjustments
- Volume: Rotate the volume knob on the main unit or use the VOL +/- faamau i le mamao.
- Loudness Control: Oomi le LELO button on the remote to enhance bass and treble at low volume levels. Press again to deactivate.
- Equalizer (EQ): Oomi le EQ button on the remote to cycle through preset equalizer modes (e.g., Flat, Rock, Pop, Classic, Jazz).
7. Tausiga
Proper care ensures the longevity of your system:
- Fa'amamaina: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the unit's exterior. For stubborn stains, dampen the cloth with a mild detergent solution and wipe gently. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
