1. Ovaview
The MARATHON Adanac 4000 Digital Stopwatch Timer is a high-precision timing instrument designed for various activities requiring accurate time measurement. It features a large display, split-time functionality, and includes time, calendar, and alarm functions. Built to be water, dust, and shock resistant, it is suitable for demanding environments. A 46-inch lanyard is included for convenient portability.

2. Seti
2.1. Uluai Malosiaga Ki
The stopwatch is typically ready for use upon removal from its packaging. If the display is blank, ensure the battery is correctly installed. Some models may have a protective tab to pull before first use.
2.2. Faatulaga Taimi ma Aso

2.3. Fa'apipi'i/Suiga maa
The MARATHON Adanac 4000 requires 1 Lithium Metal battery (LR44 type). When the display becomes dim or unresponsive, the battery may need replacement.
- Su'e le vaega o le maa i tua o le uati taofi.
- Carefully remove the small screws securing the battery cover using a precision screwdriver.
- Remove the old LR44 battery.
- Insert a new LR44 battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery cover and secure it with the screws.
3. Faiga Fa'atino
3.1. Faiga taofi
This mode is used for timing events with 1/100th second precision.
- Oomi le TULAGA button until the stopwatch display (00:00:00) is shown.
- Tusitala AMATA/TOTO e amata ai le taimi.
- To record a split time (lap time) while total timing continues, press VAEGA/TULAFONO. The display will momentarily show the split time.
- To resume displaying the running total time, press VAEGA/TULAFONO toe.
- Ina ia taofi le uati taofi, fetaomi AMATA/TOTO.
- To resume from a paused state, press AMATA/TOTO.
- To reset the stopwatch to zero, ensure it is stopped, then press VAEGA/TULAFONO.

3.2. Time and Calendar Display
This mode displays the current hour, minute, seconds, month, date, and day of the week.
- Oomi le TULAGA button to cycle to the Time/Calendar display.
- Refer to Section 2.2 for instructions on how to set the time and date.

3.3. Galuega Fa'ailoga
The stopwatch includes an alarm function. To set and activate the alarm:
- From the Time/Calendar display, press the TULAGA button to enter Alarm setting mode (indicated by an alarm icon).
- Oomi ma uu TOE FAI until the hour digits flash.
- Fa'aoga AMATA/TOTO e fetuunai le itula. Nusipepa TOE FAI ia agai i minute.
- Fa'aoga AMATA/TOTO e fetuunai minute.
- Tusitala TULAGA e alu ese ai mai le setiina o le alarm.
- To toggle the alarm ON/OFF, press AMATA/TOTO while in the Alarm display mode. An alarm icon will appear/disappear to indicate its status.
4. Tausiga
4.1. Fa'amamaina
To clean the stopwatch, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the casing po'o le fa'aaliga.
4.2. Suavai Tetee
The MARATHON Adanac 4000 is designed to be water resistant. However, it is not intended for prolonged submersion or use during diving. Ensure all buttons are not pressed while the stopwatch is wet to maintain water resistance integrity.
4.3. Teuina
Store the stopwatch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to prolong its lifespan.

- Fa'aaliga Gaogao: If the display is blank, check the battery. Replace the LR44 battery if necessary (refer to Section 2.3).
- Sese Taimi/Aso: Reset and adjust the time and date settings (refer to Section 2.2).
