Follow these steps to set up your August WR320 for the first time.

Choose one of the following methods to connect the WR320 to your existing speaker system:

3.3. WiFi Network Setup (August Alink App)

The August Alink app is required for WiFi setup and multiroom control. Download it from your device's app store (Android or iOS).

  1. Ensure your mobile device is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network. The WR320 only supports 2.4GHz WiFi.
  2. Open the August Alink app. The app will search for August wireless Hi-Fi systems.
  3. If prompted, press the WPS button (14) on the back of the WR320 to configure the network.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions in the app to connect the WR320 to your WiFi network. You may need to enter your WiFi password.
  5. Once connected, the Status LED (4) will indicate a successful WiFi connection (typically solid green).

Fa'aaliga: For Airplay compatibility, ensure both the WR320 and your mobile device are connected to the same WiFi network. Airplay is compatible with iPhone 6S or higher, and iOS 14.4.2 or higher is required.

The WR320 excels in creating a multiroom audio system. You can link multiple WR320 units or compatible August WiFi speakers together.

  1. Ensure all WR320 units or compatible August WiFi speakers are connected to the same WiFi network via the August Alink app.
  2. In the app's device list, you can group speakers together to play the same audio simultaneously.
  3. Alternatively, you can control each speaker individually to play different music in different rooms.
  4. You can rename devices within the app (e.g., "Living Room," "Bedroom") for easier management.

  4. Once paired, you can stream audio directly from your mobile device to the WR320.

4.4. AUX-In Mode

To play audio from a device connected directly to the WR320 via cable:

  1. Connect your audio source (e.g., MP3 player, CD player) to the AUX-In port (11) on the WR320 using a 3.5mm audio cable.
  2. Press the Mode Switch button (1) until the Status LED (4) indicates AUX-In mode (typically red).
  3. The audio from your connected device will now play through the speakers connected to the WR320.
