  3. Insert two fresh AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the battery compartment.

3.2 Controller Syncing

To connect your Wii Remote Plus to your Wii or Wii U console:

  1. Ensure your console is powered on.

  3. Press and release the SYNC button on the console. The player indicator lights on the console will flash.
  4. On the Wii Remote Plus, open the battery cover. Locate the small red SYNC button inside the battery compartment. Press and release this button. Note: The design allows for easy access to the sync button without fully removing the battery cover, often using a small tool or the wrist strap's pin.
  5. The player indicator lights on the bottom of the Wii Remote Plus will flash and then remain lit on the assigned player number (1-4) once syncing is complete.
