The VTech DS6501 is an accessory cordless handset designed to expand your existing VTech DECT 6.0 phone system. This handset requires a compatible VTech base unit (such as DS6521-2, DS6521-3, DS6522-32, or DS6522-4) to operate. It features DECT 6.0 Digital Technology for superior sound quality and range, Caller ID/Call Waiting functionality, and the ability to make and receive both landline and cellular calls when paired with a compatible base unit.

3. Place the battery compartment cover over the battery and slide it into place until it clicks securely.

Place the handset face forward into the charging cradle. The 'CHARGE' indicator light on the top of the handset will illuminate, indicating that the battery is charging. For optimal performance, charge the handset for at least 16 hours before initial use.

Operating Your Handset

Connect to Cell™ Feature

The Connect to Cell™ feature allows you to integrate your mobile phone with your VTech DECT 6.0 system. This enables you to make and receive cellular calls using your VTech cordless handsets, leveraging the superior sound quality and range of your home phone system. You can register up to two Bluetooth-enabled cell phones to the base unit.

The handset can access the phonebook stored on the base unit, which can also download up to 200 entries from your paired cell phones. Use the navigation buttons to scroll through entries and the MENU/FILIFILI button to select an entry for dialing.
