Proper installation is crucial for the security and functionality of your EVVA Euro Double Cylinder. It is recommended that installation be performed by a qualified locksmith or experienced individual.
- Sauniuniga: Ensure the door is prepared with a standard Euro profile cylinder cutout. Measure the existing cylinder to confirm the 41/41 NP (82mm total length) is the correct size for your door thickness.
- Aveese le Silini Tuai (afai e talafeagai): Unscrew the retaining screw located on the door edge, typically below the latch. Insert a key into the existing cylinder and turn it slightly (about 15-20 degrees) to align the cam with the cylinder body, allowing it to slide out.
- Insert New Cylinder: Insert one of the supplied keys into the new EVVA cylinder. Turn the key slightly to align the cam with the cylinder body. Slide the new cylinder into the door's mortise lock until it is flush with the door face.
- Secure Cylinder: Re-insert and tighten the retaining screw on the door edge. Do not overtighten.
- Fa'atino Su'ega: With the door open, insert a key from both sides and turn it to ensure smooth operation of the lock mechanism. Check that the key can be fully inserted and removed without obstruction.

The EVVA Euro Double Cylinder operates with a key from both the interior and exterior sides of the door.
- Loka: Insert the key fully into the keyway. Turn the key clockwise (or counter-clockwise, depending on the lock mechanism) until the bolt is fully extended and the door is secured. Remove the key.
- Tatala: Insert the key fully into the keyway. Turn the key counter-clockwise (or clockwise) until the bolt is fully retracted and the door is unlocked. Remove the key.
- Fa'aluaina ki: This cylinder range allows for unrestricted key duplication. Keys can be duplicated by a qualified locksmith using standard key cutting equipment.
