3. Seti ma Fa'apipi'i

WARNING: Before installation, the power must be cut off at the circuit breaker to prevent electric shock.

Laasaga Fa'apipi'i (Aoao)

2. Install the mounting bracket on the junction box using the flat-head screws. Ensure screw heads face downwards.
3. Mount the base plate to the mounting bracket. Screw tight the wing nuts to ensure a firm installation.
4. Lead out power cables through the rubber hole of the base plate.
5. Strip the wires by 6-8mm. Connect the live wire to the L hole, neutral wire to the N hole, and ground wire to the ground hole.
6. Hold the side of the light with both hands, align the base, and gently snap the cover clockwise. Make sure it is firmly attached to the base.

Note: For safety, please make sure that the cover is securely attached and poses no risk of falling. After installation, shake the cover from side to side to confirm that the ceiling light is securely in place.

The Aqara LED Ceiling Light T1M offers extensive control options through the Aqara Home app, allowing you to customize your lighting experience. The light features both a main light and a side light, which can be controlled independently or simultaneously.

Main Light Control

The main light provides tunable white illumination from 2700K (warm white) to 6500K (cool white). You can enable/disable the main light and adjust its brightness from 1% to 100% via the app. The Color Rendering Index (CRI) is above 90, ensuring vibrant and true-to-life colors.

Side Light Control (RGB+IC)

The side light offers 16 million colors and advanced RGB+IC gradient effects, allowing for dynamic and customized ambiance. You can enable/disable the side light, adjust its brightness, and select from various dynamic or static effects within the app. The RGB+IC feature enables vivid color transitions and can also act as a status indicator for events like doorbell rings or security disarming.

App Control and Automations

Control the light with your voice, the Aqara Home app, or integrate it with other Aqara devices for advanced automations and scenes. For example, you can set the light to turn off automatically at a specific time or trigger specific lighting effects based on sensor input (e.g., motion detection, door/window open).

5. Connectivity with Third-Party Ecosystems

The Aqara LED Ceiling Light T1M supports Matter-over-bridge (requires a Matter-compatible Aqara hub) and is compatible with various smart home platforms, including Apple HomeKit, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa. This allows for seamless integration into your existing smart home setup.

To add the Ceiling Light T1M to Apple HomeKit, ensure you have a stable network connection and an Aqara hub (e.g., M3 Hub) already added to your Home app. Open the Home app, tap the '+' icon, select 'Add Accessory' or 'Scan Accessory', and follow the on-screen instructions to enter the setup code found on the device or its packaging. Identify the Ceiling Light and complete the setup as instructed.

Ensure your Google smart speaker is turned on and connected to Wi-Fi. Confirm that the light has been added to the Aqara Home App and bound to a hub. Follow any additional prompts for location access and setup.

  • If adding the device fails, please move the device closer to the hub and try again. Make sure the device is in pairing mode (main light stays on after 2 breathes). If it is not, turn its power off and on 5 times.

  • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is stable and the hub is within range.
  • Restart your Wi-Fi router and Aqara hub.
