Position the VIISAN DL24 scanner unit on the designated area of the scanning mat.
Connect the power adapter to the DC-IN port on the scanner and plug it into a power outlet.
Connect the USB Type-C end of the USB cable to the scanner's USB-C port and the USB Type-A end to an available USB port on your computer.
If using, connect the external shutter button or foot pedal to the USB Type-A port on the scanner unit.

3.3 Fa'apipi'i polokalame

The VIISAN DL24 requires the OfficeCam software for full functionality. Please note: The bundled scanning software OfficeCam supports only x64 and x86 architectures on Windows PCs and macOS. It is not compatible with ARM-based devices, such as the Surface Pro X.

Download the latest version of the VIISAN OfficeCam software compatible with your operating system (Windows 7/8/10/11 or macOS 10.15 or later).

Launch the VIISAN OfficeCam software on your computer.
Place the document or book you wish to scan on the scanning mat, ensuring it is within the illuminated area.

Initiate the scan by clicking the 'Scan' button in the software, pressing the external shutter button, or using the foot pedal (if connected). The scanner will capture the image in less than 1.5 seconds per page.

Automatic Flattening & Deskew: For books and curved documents, the software automatically flattens curled pages, corrects skew, and can erase finger images if you hold down pages.

5. Tausiga

Ensure the scanner is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to wipe the exterior of the scanner unit.
For the camera lens, use a lens cleaning cloth or specialized lens cleaning solution to avoid scratches.
Wipe the scanning mat with a damp cloth if necessary, and allow it to dry completely before use.

5.2 Teuina

When not in use, store the scanner in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep it covered to prevent dust accumulation.

OCR not working or inaccurate	Poor scan quality, unsupported language, complex font.	Rescan the document ensuring clarity. Verify the language is supported by OfficeCam OCR. Use clear, standard fonts for best results.
Automatic flattening not effective	Excessive curvature, fingers not fully hidden.	Ensure the book is as flat as possible. Make sure fingers are completely outside the scanning area or use the finger removal feature in the software.
