4. Seti ma Fonotaga
The Einhell GC-SC is delivered partially assembled. Follow these steps to prepare your tool for use:

- Fonotaga fa'amau: Attach the lower handlebar sections to the main unit using the provided fasteners. Then, connect the upper handlebar section. Ensure all cables are routed correctly and secured to prevent damage. The handlebar is designed to be height-adjustable for user comfort.

- Fa'apipi'i ma'a: This unit is a 'Tool Only' product. Insert two fully charged Einhell Power X-Change 18V battery packs (not included) into the battery compartments located on the motor housing. Ensure they click securely into place.
- Siaki So'oga: Verify that all connections are secure and that the safety switch mechanism operates freely.
5. Fa'atonuga o Galuega
Follow these steps for safe and effective operation of your scarifier/dethatcher:
- Working Depth Adjustment: The machine features a 3-position depth adjustment. Use the lever on the side of the unit to select the desired working depth. For initial use or light dethatching, start with a shallower setting. For deeper scarifying, select a deeper setting. A transport setting is also available to prevent blade damage when moving the unit over hard surfaces.

- Amataina le masini: Press and hold the safety button, then pull the bail handle towards the handlebar. The motor will start. Release the safety button but continue to hold the bail handle during operation.
- Taofi le masini: Release the bail handle. The motor will stop automatically.
- Scarifying/Dethatching Technique: Push the machine forward at a steady, moderate pace. Avoid pushing too fast, as this can reduce effectiveness and strain the motor. Overlap each pass slightly to ensure complete coverage. For best results, scarify your lawn when the soil is slightly moist, not waterlogged or completely dry.
- Vaega Galulue: This cordless scarifier is designed to tackle yards up to 3200 sq ft with convenience. Plan your work to ensure sufficient battery life.

6. Tausiga
O le tausiga faifai pea e faʻamautinoa ai le umi o le ola ma le lelei o le faʻatinoga o lau scarifier/dethatcher.
- Fa'amamaina: After each use, remove the battery pack and clean the machine. Use a brush or cloth to remove grass clippings, soil, and debris from the housing, wheels, and especially the scarifying roller. Do not use water directly on the motor housing or battery compartments.
- Su'ega o lau: Regularly inspect the 16 scarifying blades for wear or damage. Worn or damaged blades should be replaced by an authorized service center to maintain performance and safety.
- Teuina: Store the machine in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The handlebar can be folded for compact storage. Ensure the battery packs are removed and stored separately in a cool, dry place.
