1. Oloa Ua Ovaview

The Daytech Wireless Call Alert System is designed to provide reliable and convenient communication for caregivers and individuals needing assistance, such as the elderly or those with mobility issues. This system ensures peace of mind by offering a long-range panic button solution.

  • Enhanced Independence: Allows individuals to maintain privacy and independence while ensuring help is readily available.
  • Avanoa lautele: Features a long range of up to 500+ feet (open area), enabling caregivers to be further away and still receive alerts.
  • Fuafuaga Fa'aoga-Fa'aoga: Call buttons are easy to press, even for those with limited hand function, and can be worn around the neck or mounted.
  • Fa'ailoga Fa'atonu: Offers 55 different ringtones and 5 adjustable volume levels (0-110 dB, including mute mode) to suit various environments. LED indicators provide visual alerts for the hearing impaired.

2. Seti ma Fa'apipi'i

2.1 Seti Muamua

  1. Faʻapipiʻi maa: Open the battery compartment on the back of the receiver and insert 6 AAA batteries (included). Ensure correct polarity.
  2. Activate Call Buttons: Pull out the insulation sheet from the call buttons to activate their internal batteries.

2.2 Pairing Call Buttons with Receiver

The system typically comes pre-paired. If re-pairing is needed or if adding new buttons:

  1. Filifili le Ringtone: On the receiver, press the "Forward" or "Backward" buttons to cycle through the 55 available ringtones until you find your preferred melody.
  2. Ulufale Pairing Mode: Press and hold the "Volume" button on the receiver until it emits a "Ding-Dong" sound and the indicator light begins to flash. This indicates the receiver is in pairing mode.
  3. Faʻalua Faʻamau: Quickly press the call button you wish to pair. The receiver will make a "Ding-Ding" sound, and its indicator light will flash, confirming successful pairing.
  4. Fa'amaonia le Fa'atasi: Press the call button again to verify that the receiver sounds the selected melody. If it does, pairing is complete.

2.3 Tulaga

  • Talia: Place the receiver in a central location where the alert can be easily heard by the caregiver. Consider areas like the living room, kitchen, or caregiver's bedroom.
  • Fa'amau Vala'au: The call buttons can be worn around the neck using the included strap or secured to a surface using the provided bracket or double-sided adhesive. Common placement areas include:
    • Ifa moega
    • Bathroom (due to waterproof design)
    • Living area
    • Near a wheelchair or frequently used chair

3. Fa'atonuga o Galuega

3.1 Using the Call Button

To request assistance, simply press the large "CALL" button on the caregiver call button. This will send a signal to the receiver, triggering the selected melody and flashing LED indicator.

3.2 Adjusting Receiver Settings

  • Filifiliga Ringtone: Use the "Forward" and "Backward" buttons on the side of the receiver to scroll through the 55 available melodies.
  • Pulea le Volume: Press the "Volume" button on the side of the receiver to adjust the sound level. There are 5 adjustable volume levels, ranging from 0 dB (mute) to 110 dB.
  • Lapata'i Va'ai: The receiver features an LED light melody indicator that flashes when an alert is received, providing a visual cue in addition to the audio.

4. Tausiga

4.1 Fa'amamāina

Wipe the surfaces of the receiver and call buttons with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the devices are dry before re-installing batteries or using them.

4.2 Suiga maa

  • Talia: The receiver requires 6 AAA batteries. Replace all batteries simultaneously when the indicator light dims or the sound becomes weak.
  • Fa'amau Vala'au: The call buttons use a 12V (DC) battery. Replace the battery when the button's indicator light does not illuminate or the signal range decreases significantly. Refer to Figure 2.1 for battery compartment access on the receiver.

The system features a memory function, retaining your last selected ringtone even after battery replacement.

5. Faʻafitauli

  • No Sound from Receiver:
    • Check if the receiver's volume is set to mute (0 dB). Adjust the volume using the "Volume" button.

    • Verify that the call button is properly paired with the receiver (refer to Section 2.2).

    • Check the call button's battery. Replace if needed.
    • Re-pair the call button with the receiver (refer to Section 2.2).
