Seti ma Fa'apipi'i
1. Saunia le Faitotoa
Ensure your door is properly prepared for installation. The lock is designed for standard door thicknesses and backsets. Refer to the dimensions diagram for specific measurements.

2. Install the Deadbolt Latch
Insert the deadbolt latch into the edge of the door. Ensure the 'UP' arrow on the latch is pointing upwards. Secure it with the provided screws.

3. Install the Exterior Keypad Assembly
Feed the cable from the exterior keypad through the hole in the door and position the keypad flush against the door. Ensure the tailpiece passes through the center hole of the deadbolt latch.

4. Fa'apipi'i le Lotoifale Fono
Connect the cable from the exterior assembly to the interior assembly. Mount the interior assembly onto the door, aligning the tailpiece with the turnpiece slot. Secure with screws through the mounting plate.

5. Fa'apipi'i Ma'a
The lock requires 4 AA batteries (not included). Remove the battery cover on the interior assembly and insert the batteries, observing polarity. Replace the battery cover.
6. Perform Door Handing Process
After battery installation, the lock will automatically perform a door handing process to learn the orientation of your door. This is crucial for proper operation. If the lock does not automatically hand, refer to the full installation guide for manual initiation.

Your lock can store up to 6 unique user codes. Refer to the full programming instructions for detailed steps on adding, deleting, and modifying codes. A master code is recommended for enhanced security and managing user codes.

- Manual Locking (Interior): Turn the thumb-turn on the interior assembly to extend the deadbolt.

- Keypad Unlocking: Enter a valid user code on the keypad, then press the lock symbol button. The deadbolt will retract.
- Key Unlocking: Insert the physical key into the keyhole and turn it to unlock the deadbolt.
- Manual Unlocking (Interior): Turn the thumb-turn on the interior assembly to retract the deadbolt.
SmartKey Re-Key Technology
The SmartKey cylinder allows you to re-key your lock to work with any other SmartKey compatible key. Follow the specific instructions provided with your SmartKey tool for this process. This feature is useful for matching existing keys or changing keys without replacing the entire lock.

When the batteries are low, the lock will emit an audible alert and/or the keypad will flash red after a successful code entry. Replace all four AA batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation. Use only new, high-quality alkaline batteries. To replace, remove the interior battery cover, remove old batteries, insert new ones observing polarity, and replace the cover.
