4.4 Keypad and Display

The intuitive keypad includes numeric keys (0-9), memory keys (M1-M9), and dedicated function keys such as MATUA, O, SAMPLE, QTY SET, Faleoloa, AOFAIGA, ma CE (Clear Entry). The LCD screen simultaneously displays total weight, unit weight, and piece count.

  1. Tatalaina: Carefully remove the scale and all components from the packaging. Retain the packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Tu'uga: Place the scale on a firm, stable, and level surface, free from vibrations and drafts.
  3. Fa'avasegaina: Adjust the four adjustable feet at the bottom of the scale until the bubble in the built-in level indicator is centered. This is critical for accurate measurements.
  4. So'oga Malosi: Connect the AC power adapter to the DC 12V input port on the rear of the scale, then plug the adapter into a suitable power outlet. The scale can also operate on its internal rechargeable battery.
  5. Malosiaga Muamua Ki: Flip the power switch on the rear of the scale to the 'ON' position. The display will perform a self-test and then show '0.0000' or '0.000' depending on the unit.

  1. Ensure the scale is powered on and displays '0.0000'. If not, press the O ki.
  2. Place the item(s) to be weighed onto the center of the stainless steel weighing pan.
  3. Read the weight displayed in the 'WEIGHT' section of the LCD.

The counting function allows you to determine the number of pieces based on a sample unit weight.

  1. Place a known quantity of items (e.g., 10, 20, 50, 100 pieces) onto the weighing pan. This is your sample.
  2. Oomi le SAMPLE key. The display will prompt you to enter the sample tele.
  3. Using the numeric keypad, enter the exact number of sample pieces you placed on the pan.
  4. Oomi le QTY SET key to confirm. The scale will calculate and store the unit weight of the sample.
  5. Aveese le sample pieces. The display should return to '0' in the 'TOTAL (pcs)' section.
  6. Place the items you wish to count onto the pan. The 'TOTAL (pcs)' display will show the total number of pieces.

6.3 Galuega Tita

The tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container or packaging, so only the net weight of the contents is measured.

  1. Place the empty container onto the weighing pan. The display will show its weight.
  2. Oomi le MATUA key. The display will reset to '0.0000', indicating the container's weight has been tared out.
  3. Add the items to be weighed into the container. The display will now show only the net weight of the items.
  4. To clear the tare, remove the container and press the MATUA toe ki.

6.4 Memory Functions (M1-M9)

The scale features 9 memory keys (M1-M9) to store and recall frequently used unit weights or tare values.

  1. To Store a Unit Weight: After setting a unit weight using the counting function (Section 6.2), press the Faleoloa key, then press the desired memory key (M1-M9) to save the unit weight.
  2. To Recall a Unit Weight: Press the desired memory key (M1-M9). The stored unit weight will be loaded, and the scale will be ready for counting based on that unit weight.

7. Fa'avasegaina

The Tree LCT 33 scale is factory calibrated. However, if you suspect inaccuracies or after significant environmental changes, recalibration may be necessary. For detailed calibration procedures, please refer to the separate calibration guide or contact Tree customer support. It is recommended to use certified calibration weights for this process.

8. Tausiga

  • Fa'amamaina: Wipe the scale's surface and weighing pan with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, a mild detergent can be used. Ensure no liquid enters the internal components. Dry thoroughly.
  • Teuina: When not in use for extended periods, store the scale in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Tausiga maa: If using the rechargeable battery, ensure it is fully charged before long-term storage to preserve battery life. Recharge periodically if stored for many months.
