Wiring (DPST Configuration)

The T174 features a Double Pole, Single Throw (DPST) contact form, meaning it controls two independent circuits or a single 2-pole circuit simultaneously.

  1. DISCONNECT ALL POWER to the circuit at the main service panel before proceeding.
  2. Open the timer's enclosure.
  3. Connect the incoming power lines (L1 and L2 for 208-277V AC) to the designated "LINE" terminals on the timer.
  4. Connect the load wires (to the device being controlled) to the designated "LOAD" terminals. Ensure correct polarity if applicable.

  1. Rotate the timer dial clockwise until the current time aligns with the "TIME SET" arrow or indicator on the timer mechanism.
  2. Ensure AM/PM is correctly observed if the dial has such markings.

Setting ON/OFF Times

The timer comes with two trippers: one "ON" tripper and one "OFF" tripper. Additional trippers can be purchased separately (Extra Trippers 11Z965).

  1. Locate the "ON" tripper (typically silver or light-colored) and the "OFF" tripper (typically black or dark-colored).
  2. Snap the "ON" tripper onto the dial at the desired time you want the connected device to turn ON.
  3. Snap the "OFF" tripper onto the dial at the desired time you want the connected device to turn OFF.
  4. You can set up to 12 ON/OFF cycles per 24-hour period using additional trippers. The minimum time setting is 1 hour.
